who waved palm leaves

with the crowd

unsure of

what was happening

but wanting to belong

who cheered "hosanna"

with the crowd

because of

what i thought

i was seeing

who cried "crucify Him"

with the mob

because i

did not want

to seek His face

i am one

who is face-down

at the foot of the cross

receiving His sacrifice

so freely given
